Many dealers are born when a collector reaches the point of saturation!  As collections grow, tastes change, perhaps we become more "picky" or just don't have enough storage space!!  By selling some of our goodies, we create a little spending money and make room for new treasures.  For those who love to travel seeking that 'special' collectible, becoming a dealer provides many tax benefits.  Another advantage frequently enjoyed by dealers is the courtesy discount extended by most antique outlets.

The advantages of participating in a mall setting are many: 

TIME:  The mall is completely staffed and able to market merchandise while the dealers are free to work the day job, travel or whatever beckons. 

MONEY:  Owning a business can be expensive.  The overhead in a mall, including advertising, is spread over a large group of dealers in the form of rent.  The mall appeals to a wide variety of customers because of its diversity and volume, which in turn provides the dealer with additional opportunities to market his/her wares. 

ENJOYMENT:  Selling from a mall setting is great entertainment!  You become  one of a group of people with a common goal - the pursuit of antiques, collectibles and fine gifts!  Our dealers are some of our best customers!!! 

To become a dealer at Pack Rat Mall, a business license from the State of Alaska is not required.

Pack Rat Mall has a general no-return policy. For any article which the buyer deems represented incorrectly, there is a three day window of opportunity from the date of receipt to request a return authorization.  The returned article must be in its original condition with all tags, stickers and documentation.  Some items may not be available due to prior sale.  The customer will be responsible for all shipping costs and a nominal packaging/handling fee.
